Rory took IELTS in May 2025 and he'll share his experience with us

Do native speakers need to take IELTS?

What can we learn from their experiences if they do?

Rory Fergus Duncan-Goodwillie certainly thinks they should and he has a lot to share with teachers based on his experience getting a band 9 for IELTS and 8.5 overall for the whole exam.
We can learn a great deal, not only from what he got right, but also what he got wrong in the process and on the big exam day.

Rory is a writer and podcaster in addition to being an English teacher for the last 11 years in several countries including Russia, Scotland, England, and many more.
He is now also an official IELTS Band 9 speaker and uses his experience of the exam to enhance the performance of students around the world.
